While you’re visiting the local pumpkin patch on a beautiful fall afternoon, browsing for potential jack-o-lantern pumpkins and other spooky fall décor, pick up a sugar pumpkin, too. These are easy to roast and will keep you in pumpkin puree through Thanksgiving. I’ve curated a few of my favorite recipes that you can make with the puree. You can also use it in smoothies, blended with coffee and other fixings, pumpkin pie of course, or any other favorite pumpkin recipes, but as you’ll see, I like to use it in savory recipes most of all. The soup and the stew in this blog are delectable and brimming with phytonutrients, and the pumpkin mocktail (see my blog on Sober-Tober) tastes decadent but is actually good for you. Enjoy the season with some of these recipes!
